Ben Hamilton
Noble Ben Hamilton was born in Martinsville, Virginia, and moved to Eden, NC at a young age. He proudly served six years in the North Carolina Army National Guard, beginning his military career as an enlisted soldier before attending the North Carolina State Officer Candidate School at Fort Bragg, where he was commissioned as a second lieutenant.
He later served as a military police platoon leader. Ben earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from Appalachian State University.
Ben has been married to his wife Emily since 1996. As Emily often says, this remains his greatest accomplishment.
Ben was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason in June 2010 at Leaksville Masonic Lodge No. 136 in Eden, NC where his father was also raised. He was elected and served as Master of the Lodge in 2014 and 2015. In 2016, he joined the Greensboro Valley of the Scottish Rite, where he attained the 32°. Ben is also a member of Stokesdale Masonic Lodge No. 428.
Ben’s Shrine journey began in June 2016 in Blowing Rock, NC. He and Emily immediately became active members of the Greensboro Shrine Club where Ben served as president for three consecutive years, from 2019 through 2021. He is also a proud member of the Oasis Oriental Band.
In 2023, Illustrious Sir Doug Garland appointed Noble Ben as Oasis Outer Guard and Membership Chairman, a position in which he continues to serve. Throughout his Masonic and Shrine service, Ben has remained dedicated to promoting fellowship, supporting philanthropy, and advancing the mission of Oasis Shriners.
